Dear Sylvia,
You seem to be following the path of someone else, like your parents?  What your Angels want to say, however, is that you are fine. You are recovering from an emotional breakup with a boyfriend that has led you into feeling uncertain about yourself, who you are, and what you want from your life. 

It appears as if both your Mother and Father are highly intelligent people who wield their control in your life, leaving you feeling unsure of your own abilities and capabilities.  If you feel like you have ground to a halt in your own willingness to study hard and succeed in your education, this is simply what is happening for you astrologically.  Release your resistance, and you will again move in the flow of life.

Your Angels also suggest you look within you. Notice what you, personally, are interested in. Pay attention to if there are jobs that pay in the field that you are drawn to.  Then you can weigh what your parents tell you and what it is you think you want to do with your life.

FYI, dear Sylvia, change does not always occur just in your youth.  Change is part of life.
I once attended a workshop where the leader asked for a show of hands as to who was working in the field they studied when they were in college?  With over a hundred in the room, maybe five raised their hand.
