Dear Angels,
"I have recently been seeing a man I knew in college who lost his wife in July, 2009. Is there a future for us?"  Julie, Houston, TX

Hi Julie,
Your bereaved friend, Brian, may very well be a great guy for you, but you will need to be patient. He is doing his best to get back into life, but his wife was special for him.  She had a natural balance that enabled him to feel comfortable. They were a good match in many ways.

In one sense this bodes well for another relationship, which he wants.  On the other hand, he is still in the throes of grieving.  He's locked in the past trauma and a little afraid to love again.  The good news is, he sees you as an exceptional woman whom he could grow with.  But, no matter what he says, he is not ready to fall in love today.

Is there hope for the future for the two of you?  Yes, but if he has a child, it can be that the child acts out as a way to find his balance.  You can handle it but you will need to think of what really matters for you.  If you want a traditional marriage with material abundance, Brian seems to know how to create it.  What may be missing is his heart commitment. He seems to be more the guy who uses his brain to form his world.

It appears as if Brian is wife hunting, so if he appeals to you with his lifestyle and command of the world, then he will be a good match for you. If you are someone who wants to exert your independence and make your own way, you might look carefully. Brian seems to like to have things "under control."  He will probably remarry sooner rather than later.

This reading was simply exceptional. You are exactly on target with his personality, etc. I can definately see us together sometime in the future. I can "do" patience! Thank you so much.
