Dear Angels,
"I've noticed that a lot of spiritual people have their heart, throat, 3rd eye, and crown chakras open, but they/I seem to have trouble keeping the bottom three(base, sexual, solar plexus) open. Any thoughts?"  Adrienne, Salem, OR

Hi Adrienne,
The top four chakras, or energy centers in the body, of the heart, throat, 3rd eye and crown, contain the energy of the opening of the heart.  This energy includes your spiritual awareness. 

The bottom three chakras of the base, sexual and solar plexus contain the energy of the physical. People who consider themselves spiritual, often have the misguided perception that the physical energy can be overlooked;  that the physical is of less value than the spiritual;  and that the physical is of a lower vibration than the spiritual and therefore should be overcome.

The Angels are amused.  You have chosen to explore the pleasures and rigors of a physical life for the express purpose of merging the unconditional Love that comes through the spiritual into the weighty judgment of the ego in the physical.  What would motivate you in your game of life if everything was perfect?  Your physical being would be bored.  Challenge is a major part of the physical life.

Those spiritual beings who are thinking they can ignore the physical, or pray away the physical, will learn that "we are one" means not just with each other, but with all parts of us.  It is the acceptance of our anger, fear and pain that allows it to release, to clear, and to move on.
